Compost
Composting is the managed biological decomposition of organic materials into a nutrient-rich, soil-like amendment known as humus or “black gold”. This natural recycling process involves microorganisms like bacteria and fungi, as well as larger organisms such as earthworms and millipedes, which break down waste into a stable fertilizer for plants.
- Soil Health: Improves soil structure, water-holding capacity, and introduces beneficial microbes that suppress diseases.
- Climate Change: Diverting food waste from landfills reduces methane emissions, a potent greenhouse gas produced during anaerobic decomposition.
- Cost Savings: Provides a free alternative to synthetic fertilizers and reduces the need for heavy watering.

Chemical fertilizers costly
Hard soil
Low yield
Compost helps to:
- Improve soil strength
- Increase yield
- Save money
- Reduce chemicals
Uses of Compost
Compost helps to:
- Add nutrients to soil
- Improve soil softness
- Hold more water
- Increase root growth
